Karl A Heinzelmann, DDS
Dr. Heinzelmann has been in periodontal practice in Roswell since 1984. His career in private practice has been enhanced by involvement in national and local professional organizations, his commitment to continuing education, and his dedication to his patients.
Dr. Heinzelmann attended the Georgia Institute of Technology and studied Electrical and Chemical Engineering. He graduated from the Emory University School of Dentistry in 1979. Dr. Heinzelmann attended the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry until 1984 and during that time, he obtained 2 specialty degrees and taught as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontology. He has a specialty degree in Fixed Prosthetics and another specialty degree in the field of Periodontics. Dr. Heinzelmann is one of only a handful of doctors that have completed 2 specialty degree programs. In his free time Dr. Heinzelmann enjoys playing tennis and finding new places to fly his drone (click here to visit his Youtube channel!).
Leda attended the hygiene program at Perimeter College and graduated in 1990. She came to work for Dr. Heinzelmann immediately following her graduation and has been with the practice ever since!
Leda is a native of Cumming, Georgia and has a loyal patient base. She has an easy going mannerism and has a group of patients that she has been maintaining for years.
On her days off, you'll find Leda spending time with her family, shopping and hanging out at the lake or pool.
Ashley graduated from Valdosta State University's Dental Hygiene Program in 2016. She first came to our office as a temporary hygienist and we were fortunate to have her join our team full-time in June 2017. Her sweet demeanor quickly wins the heart of our patients!
Ashley is a Georgia native and currently resides in Canton with her Golden Retriever, Piper. In her free time she likes to binge watch her favorite tv show, Law & Order SVU. She is a HUGE Harry Potter fan and even has a room in her new house that is Harry Potter themed.
Office Manager & Implant Coordinator
Michelle is the Office Manager and Treatment Coordinator and has been in Dentistry since 2001. She put herself through Kennesaw State University at night with a degree in Business Administration while working in General Dentistry so she is capable of working in all of the positions in the dental office. After working here in the Alpharetta area for many years and referring patients to Dr. Heinzelmann, she joined the practice in 2010.
Michelle is trained in and understands complex periodontal/restorative treatment scenarios and coordinates treatment between referring offices. She overseas the day to day office operations as well as discussing treatment options and finances with patients. Michelle tries to get to know all of the patients on a personal level and her job requires extensive multi-tasking, which she does very well. She is also in charge of handling all of Dr. Heinzelmann's personal undertakings which could be a full time job in itself.
She is very active outside the office spending time with her husband, her adorable little boy, and also has 3 dogs. She is active in dog rescue services and when she is not chasing her little boy around she enjoys reading, jogging shopping and running an online business, Wooden Heart Designs. She is quite busy but always has time to make each patient feel special and taken care of.
Morena joined our practice in 2010 after moving from the west coast. She is extremely competent and caring and started her dental career in 2000 at a premier Periodontal office in Santa Monica, California, where she quickly became the lead assistant.
Morena is highly trained and knowledgeable about periodontal therapy and implants, but her best asset is her caring personality. She loves to take care of her patients and she is very thorough in her care.
In her free time, she likes to spend time with her husband and daughter and stays very busy with her family and friends. Like the rest of the office staff she is an avid animal lover and has 3 dogs. Morena is a self-proclaimed expert on everything and could fill in as a "life coach" if she ever decides to leave Dentistry!
Brooke started her dental career in General Dentistry in 2014 before making the switch to Periodontics in 2016. She was formally trained at the Dental Careers Institute of Marietta and has refined her skills ever since. She has a very gentle and empathetic approach and is very popular with the patients.
Brooke is an expert on anything related to "Disney" and enjoys working out, engaging in anything outdoors, hanging out with her husband, family and friends and is particularly close to her dog, Jagger. She has been known to do some Netflix binging when she is not watching Periodontal technique videos.

She has an administrative role in the front office but actually started her dental career as a dental assistant in the United States Army in 2001. This valuable clinical training helps her coordinate and schedule treatment as well as answer therapy and financial questions.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, going to the movies and being with her family, 2 dogs, and friends.
